Kaizer Chiefs are crowned champions of Carling black label cup at Orlando stadium

Orlando Pirates began the match adding more pressure on Chiefs defence, as Pirates was coming with numbers in order to find the back of the net, while kaizer chiefs was coming with a counter attack towards pirates.

Thulani Hlatswayo looked to be more stable in defence, clearing off more crosses coming in the pirates box.

Few crosses came from Wayde Yooste but Itumeleng Khune was more brilliant in goals to save few balls coming in side the box and shoots on goal.

Samir Nurkovic made the first shoot on goal out of range however ball went off taget.

Foul was committed by Ramahloe Mphahlele out side the box, and set piece was taken by Thembinkosi Lorch, but the ball went off target.

In the 30th minute, pirates came towards chiefs defence with a good combination between Lorch and Makaringe but Khune was frexible and brialiant to save shoot from Lorch.

Kaizer Chiefs came from second half looking to be more dangerous in terms of attack after substitute from the supporters coming in, Kgaugelo Sekgota for Lesako.

From Orlando Pirates supported, tjey voted for Siphesihle Ndlovu as he came on for Thabang Monare.

Sekgota came in making more crosses that made pirates defence to panick a little bit. In the 53rd minute, Khama Billiat was fouled  by Thulani Hlatswayo, then Sekgota took the free kick but it was saved by Richard Ofori.

Towards an hour mark, Pirates had decent attempt im goal when Lorch shot was cleared off the line by Khune.

More changes were made from both Chiefs and Pirates side as Bernard parker, Nage, Cole Alexander, Hlanti came in for Samir Nurkovic, Baccus, mashiane, and Mphahlele for chiefs and Dlamini, Raliopane and Tlolane coming in for Lorch, Mhango and Makaringe.

Im the 68th minute, Chiefs was fortunate to get a penalty, after handball by Nyauza in the box however, Daniel Cardosos penalty kick was saved by Orlando Pirates keep Richard Ofori.

Last substitution was made from chiefs when Itumeleng Khune was taken off for Brandon Petersen.

The two sides could not be separated after regulation time, therefore both teams had to go for penalty shoot out.

Chiefs won the match on penalties by 4:3 after Brandon Peterson saved two penalty kicks and they were cronwed Carling Black label cup champions.
