Reasons Why Kaizer Chiefs lost the 2019/2020 league title race.
Kaizer chiefs is one of the biggest teams in Africa that have ever lost the league title in the last minute after a 1-0 loss against Baroka Fc.
The departure of a key player, injuries and suspensions played a bigger role on Chiefs lossing the league title.
A huge mistake was made when Chiefs let go an impressive key player, George Maluleka in june 30th after they had the chance to keep him until all the matches were played.
After the departure of this massive player, the likes of Manyama and Samir Nurkovic (Kokota piano) looked lost in the midfied after restart of the season because they didnott have anyone to put together a string of passes for the strikers.
This is the player who contributed five assists in 19 league matches for chiefs and formed a solid partnership with likes of Ntshangase.
More pressure from the fans also became a threat to the coach as his tactics were critisized by fans saying he had no plan B and his style of play was not suit Kaizer Chiefs.
Moreover, suspensions of likes of Willard Katshande and Nurkovic also make it more difficult for Coach Middendorp to go back to his winning ways as he had to change his winning plans a little bit. Let alone injuriries
